"Radio Pallooka", 2005.

I have worked quite a bit with latex, cement and electronic equipment (such as old televisions and radio players). This piece was the first of its kind; I made a mold of the radio itself using latex and gauze and proceeded to create various "copies" from that mold, filling it with cement. Each piece was unique, some filled to the rim and others not, as is in the case of the one displayed. Here it is exhibited at the Koputai Project space in Port Chalmers, New Zealand.

"Technicolor is the color of Murder"

"Technicolor is the color of Murder" was a multimedia group exhibition co-curated by Alexander MacKinnon and myself in 2008 at the None Gallery in Dunedin, New Zealand. Apart from inviting guest artists to participate in the exhibition, Alex and I contributed an interactive element to the show itself, which took place during the opening night. Gallery visitors were invited to hurl 150 water balloons filled with paint at the end wall of the gallery space. Much fun was had and indeed, a big colorful splatter to clean up - post show!

Corridor I

A video work is created by the environment: the stereotypical and iconic corridor doors, a "glitch", in the form of gigantism in the doors created by filming and projecting the doors mirrored above themselves. This may create disorientation at its best, or simply confusion as to what it is that is being projected. This site specific project involved two sets of fire doors.

"Brown St. George"

Experiment; working with fiberglass in 2007. Turning a 2 dimensional religious icon into a 3 dimensional fiberglass object and then reinstating it back into the 2 dimensional context; the icon of 'Brown St.George' slaying the Dragon. Although the final is an object, there has been an attempt at staying loyal to the flatness of the original icon, for example my approach in the construction of the dragon itself, wing placement etc.

This piece is a salute to the Iconography of the moment of dying.
